Recently, German car owner Hansjrg Gemmingen posted on social platforms that the cumulative mileage of the Tesla Model S he drove has exceeded 2 million kilometers, once again setting a new record for the longest mileage of a Tesla car in the world.
It is reported that the Model S (Parameters | Inquiry | Pictures) P85+ model driven by the car owner was a second-hand car purchased in 2014 and had traveled 30,000 kilometers when purchased. In November 2019, the vehicle's mileage reached 1 million kilometers; in April 2024, it traveled another 1 million kilometers, reaching 2 million kilometers.
Overseas netizen Carlos also shared his experience. The Model S he purchased in 2017 has now traveled a total of 228,000 kilometers, and the vehicle is still as good as new.
Previously, multiple foreign media have conducted real-life sampling surveys on Tesla owners. On average, when the vehicle travels 80,000 kilometers, the effective battery capacity maintains more than 95%, and 160,000 kilometers can guarantee 92% or higher.
